Well, I took a big step this month and signed up for a years membership at Kubex. It's a fitness gym that has cubicles that you go through and do different stations with weights and other work out things. I've been going 3-4 times a week and do have to say that I'm enjoying it! Way to go me!! A good way to start off the month don't you think? Hopefully the hard work will pay off.
With Andrew home for a couple of weeks from his job he, Titan and Dale took Grandpa Hansen (Dale's dad) out fishing at Hyrum Dam. They caught a couple of fish, and Keith (Grandpa) even caught one! Titan was a good sport as well, played in the boat and tried to fish, but was probably more interested in the worms.
We watched Titan and Eloise for a few days so Andrew and Lindsay could celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary. The kids were fun to have around and loved hearing the Disney books on tape, doing sticker books, stencils, and cutting and pasting. I loved the giggles, hugs and bedtime stories.
Andrew and Lindsay went to Salt Lake and Park City and did some hiking, shopping, went to the Seven Peaks Water Park, did a temple session, and just enjoyed some time to themselves. We enjoyed the time with the grandkids.
To celebrate the anniversary of my folks' wedding day, I met my brother, Danny and sister-in-law, Kathy, and we did an endowment session in the Logan Temple. Love and miss you dad and mom. Families are Forever!
Dale's been busy practicing with the American Festival Chorus, and coming home from one of his practices he got caught in a downpour when he was on his motorcycle. He came in soaking wet!! He didn't have a jacket, so he got creative and made a rain coat out of a large plastic garbage bag he got from the janitor in the building they practice in. We both had a good laugh. We needed the rain though, so it's all good.
Dale and I went to Sun Valley, ID where he sang with the AFC there in their outdoor pavilion. It was a wonderful program and the area was a lush green and blooming with color. It was a nice, relaxing weekend.
Dale, Garrett, Zandra and I went and watched the Four Seasons Theater preform Mary Poppins. We have a lot of super local talent in our area. It was a very entertaining evening.
We also took the trailer out and went and stayed at Blue Water Resort by Bear Lake. Garrett and Zandra joined us for a couple of days. Dale went fishing and caught ALOT of fish. Most were 12-14 inches long! Garrett even caught a fish, ending his streak of bad luck with fishing.
Dale and I went on a Razor Ride up by the Peter Sinks area in Logan Canyon, and we played games, and played in the water (Kayaking and throwing the frisbee around) with Garrett and Zandra after they got to the lake. The water was even on the warmer side!
On Sunday, we drove to Heber City and went to Dale's nephew, Parker Lazenby's, mission farewell. He gave a great talk and will be a great missionary. It was good to see all of the Hansen siblings together with dad and mom Hansen as well as see the cousins. What a good weekend we had.
Zandra, Andrew, Lindsay, Titan, Eloise and I met up with Jonathan & Brianne Potter and their boys at Seven Peaks and spend the day having some fun in the sun while Andrew is around. He came back early from work due to mechanical problems with the helicopter.
Nate and Kim got away for a little trip to Canada. They went on some climbs in Squamish, British Columbia as well as did some climbing in Washington.
Nate does work, just doesn't post many pictures of him doing that.
The Mallory's went on a trip along the Oregon Coast with Matt's side of the family for a reunion. They visited the Seaside Aquarium, went body boarding, played on the beach, looked for seashells, starfish and enjoyed time with family.
The kids have been going to storytime at the library and Langston got to sit inside the fire truck. Langston also started sleeping in a big bed. He's growing up, that little guy is.
Zandra had her first ultra-sound done, but they didn't want to know the gender of the little one. They want the surprise. Any guesses on what they'll have?
They spent time with Zandra's folks, went to the Seattle Museum of Art, did some hiking in the beautiful area around them in Edmonds, WA and had some sunset picnics by the beach.
They also moved back to Utah!!! Garrett got re-located to a office in Layton, UT with Academy Mortgage. I went apartment shopping with them for a day, and then they went out on their own some and they found a place in Clearfield, UT that's only about a mile away from his office. I don't think any of us here mind having them closer.
Danica's 6th month was mostly spent earning money to pay off her college loan but she did find time to go to Salt Lake and visit her girlfriend from soccer, go to Jackson Hole with another friend and go to a Monster Truck Rally. So she got in some sights and fun as well.
Dale had a practice in Salt Lake in the Tabernacle on temple square, so I tagged along and walked around the grounds and then listened to their practice. They will be singing for a conference for the Episcopal Church next month.
June didn't disappoint, we had sunshine, rain, family time, and a few adventures mixed in. That's the way we like it.
