Meritorious May

The Meritorious month of May---we had a LOT of rain!! It was the wettest on record in parts of the state. There was some flooding in some areas, but we did alright here. It just made things more green and I love green! It's been beautiful. 

We started out the month with a visit from Garrett and Zandra. They drove here from Lynwood, WA (around Seattle) so Garrett could be present for his graduation from USU. He did it!! He got his Bachelor's Degree in Finance with a minor in Marketing and he graduated with honors. Pretty cool. Way to go Garrett!!

Dale , Danica, Zandra and I were able to be part of his big day. GO AGGIES!!

It was a quick trip for them, but well worth it. We LOVED having them here for the weekend.

Danica and I went to Oakley, ID and got to see Kennlyn strut her stuff on the gymnastics floor as well as on the baseball field. We got to see her first T-ball game. She did great and it was fun to see her out on the field.

I ushered more shows and received a little recognition for serving over 300 hours at the Eccles Theater. Way to go me! I've enjoyed doing this.

We had the Mallorys here for Memorial Day weekend. We were going to go stay at Blue Water Resort at Bear Lake in our trailer, but it was wet, rainy and cold for a couple of the days so we just hung around here. In-between rain storms we had a BBQ, played yard games, went to Riverdale Hot Springs, ate at Kabuku, ate breakfast at the famous Hyde Park Lions Club Memorial Day Breakfast and visited the graves. It was a good weekend.

We also bought a new Polaris 900 Razor ----- Dale likes his new ride (and I don't mind it either)
We took it for a drive up above us in Dry Canyon. Pretty nice I must say. (Dale's not bad either)

Nate and Kim had Kim's mom come and stay with them for awhile. There's nothing better than mom and daughter time together in my eyes.

Kim did a wedding in the big state of Texas as well as The Golden State of California and celebrated her birthday. She's staying busy with the start-up of the new weight training part of the gym she works at as well. 

Nate found out that he received a patent on a surgical instrument that he designed. Dr. Nathan has made his mark!

He also still finds time to hike up and ski down those mountains. He climbed and skied the summit of Mt. Adams as well as hiked and skied in the North Cascades National Park this month.

The Mallorys have been enjoying living the country life. The kids helped brand cattle with friends, got their garden planted, finished indoor soccer, and finished up school with a bang! (Kennlyn graduated from Kindergarten) Oh, and a big accomplishment for Langston is that he's potty trained!!

Jaxson took 1st in alot of the events at the track and field day they had at the end of school.

Matt shined at Oakely Highs graduation. Matt, you're the man. You're looking good in that robe.

Lindsay and the kids tagged along with Andrew when he went back to Louisiana to work for four weeks. They lived out of hotels and made the most of Andrew's down time. They also visited Mrytle Beach and the kids learned to enjoy all the fun in the sun.

                                                       They even visited the home where our past U.S. President, Bill Clinton lived as a boy, in Hope AR (Just for fun)

Garrett and Zandra made some trips to Bellingham, WA to visit Zandra's folks and friends. Zandra's been seeing more of her mom too.
They had picnics on the beach and celebrated Zandra's birthday.

For Memorial Day Garrett and Zandra rode bikes around Annacortes, WA. It's a beautiful state.

Danica took some time off of work and spent a few days with her girlfriend, Jhanni Williams, who lives in Salt Lake, UT and is home for the summer.
She also did a day trip on her day off and went to Jackson Hole, Jenny's Lake and the Teton area with a friend. You can't work and have no play, right?

                                 She's gotten into drawing in her spare time....I'd say she's still got it.

                                                     It was a month worth merit.
