Jazzy July

I know you can't pick Dale out in this picture, but he's in there! He sang with the American Festival Choir in the tabernacle in Salt Lake City, UT. Pretty cool for him.

For part of the 4th of July weekend we went to Bear Lakes East beach and found a place where we had some space to play in the water, kayak and picnic.
The Mallory's, Garrett & Zandra, Andrew, Lindsay and kids and Lindsay's brother, Dennis Olsen, and his family joined us. Fun in the sun always makes for a good time.

We got ALOT of fried chicken (double the order) for our dinner and went and watched Logan's Celebrate America fireworks show on on lawn by USU's soccer field. Danica joined us and Andrew and Lindsay and kids left us to spend some time with Lindsay's family. We shared the chicken with those around us that would take any and we played games and oooo'd and awww'd at the sky. It was a wonderful full day and suprisingly enough no one got real burnt today at the lake!! A big accomplishment with our fair skin.

To celebrate our nation's independence we met up with Andrew and Lindsay and went to Hyrum's parade. They always put on a good show.

Then we got the boat out and went boating and kayaking at famous Cutler Dam with the Mallory's and Garrett and Zandra.
The highlight was when Jaxson got up and skied and when Garrett and Jaxson rode the kayak behind the boat!! We got quite a few stares from it, but it was crazy fun.

We got stopped by a Looonnnng train on the way home and topped off the day with a tasty dutch oven dinner. Let freedom ring!! We live in a beautiful place.

I was busy ushering for the Opera season at the Eccles Theatre. This years shows were La Bohe'me, Man of La Mancha, Carousel, and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. I also ushered for The Magic of Rogers & Hammerstein and for the International Opera Competition Finals. It was a great season. I enjoyed seeing all of the shows. Logan know how to entertain.
Dale and I got to go to the Gala Event that the American Festival Opera put on and then go see Man of La Mancha (thanks to Zions Bank for inviting us to go).

It was the Hadfield Reunion (my mom's side). We went and got caught up on the happenings of cousins and visited with the few remaining aunts and uncles. Mom came from good stock.

Dale and I celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary together on our wedding day!! That hasn't happened for awhile because of scout camps.

We went to Bear Lake and had the famous cookout dinner and saw The Drowsy Chaperone at Pickleville Playhouse. Dale did some fishing, I lounged around, we went on a Razor ride, and did some kayaking. It was a great weekend.

Dale survived a week with the Scouts at Hull Valley for their Scout Camp. I think he had just as much fun as the boys!

I had got in some sidewalk sale shopping with Andrew, Lindsay and kids, ushering, yard work, and lunch with a friend while he was gone.

Our Tacoma kids stayed busy---Kim flew to Oakland and did a photo shoot in the Bay area. She was able to visit with friends while there as well.

They also did some bouldering in their area----true trust is a must with bouldering because theirs no ropes.

Matt and Titan were birthday boys this month---Matt turned 30 something and Titan turned 4!! Happy Birthday guys!!!

We also found out that the Mallory's will be adding #4 to their family! Two more grandkids are in the oven now!

What will it be? Kennlyn is hoping for a little sister.

Danica went on a girls trip to Las Vegas with a couple of her friends (what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas--so no pictures, lol), won tickets to the REAL vs Kansas City game from Conservice (where she works) and had seats in a suite (REAL won 2-1), did a little hiking with friends, and went to Salt Lake for her cousin, Morgan Lazenbys, bachelorette party! We don't see her a whole lot.

Danica also took an offer to go play soccer at Dixie State University in St. George. She'll red-shirt this season and play her Sr. year. I have to say I'm kind of excited because she'll be ALOT closer than Iowa or Texas!

That sums up our Jazzy July!
