We started out the month by gathering family together to give our newest grandchild a name and a blessing. Eloise Lindsay Hansen is officially on the books!
Having family support for these special occassions means a lot. We ate and visited and got to know Lindsay's family a bit better.
Dale has been busy with practices and programs with the American Festival Chorus. They had two differen programs in two weeks. He's enjoying the challenge.
Dale and I went to San Diego, CA with some of the school board members. It was the National Schools Boards Association (NSBA) Conference. I had a good time with the spouses. We shopped, and walked around Balboa Park.
We went to a Padres Baseball game with the group and made it official by having a "Ball Park Hot Dog and Fries". Take me out to the ball game!
We walked some more, as well as took a City Tour on the Trolley and got off at Coronado and Old Town.
There was an American flag at the conference that had survived 9/11 and was patched with bits of flags that had some history behind them from all fifty states. It was pretty neat.
The guys didn't see much of the area because they were in meetings, but the ladies had a good time. Thanks to the Nortons, Grunigs, Bairds, Knights and Kathy Christeansen for the memories.
I started DIBELS testing again and Dale and I both had our birthdays this month----one year older and wiser to.....Happy Birthday to us!
In Iowa, Danica sent us a picture of the hail they'd gotten during a storm. We had wind, rain, snow and hail this month as well, but nothing like this! Crazy stuff!! I'm glad she didn't have a car out there!
Danica also signed a contract with IWCC to play soccer with them again next year. She even got more money on her scholarship.
Her Spring season ended with a pretty good record as well (1-1-1) and she's doing well in her school classes. Keep it up Danica!
The rest of the clan are keeping busy with work, school, and kids.
Langston's rolling all over now and El is full of smiles, Titan is full of mischief and Jaxson and Kennlyn are growing like weeds.
Life just keeps on keeping on!
