Go Jaxson, Go!!!
Dale and I went to Oakley, ID to see Jaxson play
He's got the energy and the drive is coming more and more. He's gotten a few steals and has made some points for the team. Look out, here he comes!
Matt blessed and named Langston D Mallory in their ward and then we had a little get-together after with the Mallorys at Matt and Amies house. We had Andrew, Lindsay, Titan, Garrett and Zandra come for the blessing. Titan loved getting to spend time with his cousins.
Zandra and I hosted a baby shower for Lindsay and got to visit with family and friends. Lindsay got a lot of nice things to get their little one off to a good start. Zandra is quite the planner, the table looked so nice and the food was very tastey!! Thanks Zandra :)
For Valentines, Dale, Andrew, Lindsay and I went to dinner at Firehouse Pizzeria and then to Sky View's musical, "Thoroughly Modern Millie". It was very entertaining and done in good company.
I did some ushering for Jay Richards musical production of Jane Eyre at the Eccles. Very nice!
Andrew took Lindsay to the Women's Center at the Logan Regional Hospital around 6:00am on Feb. 22nd, and by 4:05pm they had added a little girl to their family!! Eloise Lindsay Hansen was 7 lbs. 7 oz. and 191/2 inches long. I was invited to join them again, to man the camera. What a miracle it is to see the birth of a child. All went well and we were all amazed at how much hair El has. She's a keeper!!
We now have 5 grandkids that will be calling us Grandpa and Grandma. Pretty fun, huh? Love it!!
Lindsay and El are doing great and as you see, Lindsay is looking good :)
In the last General Conference our prophet, Thomas S. Monson, announced that young women can go on missions at 19 now instead of 21 and young men can go out at 18 instead of 19, if they've graduated from high school. So with that change, we had two nieces that took it seriously. We attended two farewells this month. One for Becca, (Craig and Heidi Hansen's girl) and McKelle, Bryan and Stephanie Hansen's girl.
Becca is going to the Washington DC South Mission,
McKelle is going to the New York, New York Spanish speaking Mission.
We wish them both the best and know they'll be great servants of the Lord!!! God Speed Sisters!!
Nate and Kim are staying busy. Kim's still teaching cross-fit and doing photography and Nate's doing General Medicine rotations. He went to a conference in Las Vegas for a few days representing his school and then stayed a bit longer to get in some visitng and rock climbing with cousins Derek and Jason Brady, Mondo and Jessie DelToro, and friends. He fits in the fun when he can.
Kim's mom was able to spend some time with them as well this month. Good times.
Danica tells us she's pretty much just working (She works in the Library on campus) and hitting the books. She is playing on a Futsol team and doing conditioning for soccer in the off-season. We hope that's what she's doing and not getting into trouble ;) We were able to Skype with her---we miss her and feel blessed to have the family we do.
