Then we headed back over the mountain and finished celebrating. We took a ride on the Razor and enjoyed this beautiful world we live in. The flowers were in full bloom. It was a sea of yellow. So pretty!
We even came upon a moose out in the wild!

We kayaked, flew the kite, and watched a great fireworks show that was all around the lake! It was pretty cool.

Dale got in his fishing and I got in my reading. We hiked the Limber Pine trail and rode the Razor over to Old Ephriam's Grave.
We played games and watched movies and just relaxed. It was just what we needed.
Nate and Kim celebrated hiking in the mountains in Garibaldi, British Columbia......Beautiful, isn't it?
The Mallory's celebrated Independence Day, by watching a parade in Rupert, ID and then going to Oakley's Swimming Pool Party......
Andrew, Lindsay and their kids spent the 4th with Lindsay's family by going to the Hyrum Parade and then hanging out with family in Paradise.
After much thought and prayer, Andrew and Lindsay have decided that they're going to adopt a child. It's been quite the roller coaster ride, and will still take some patience and time, but they're going for it. We wish them the best.
Garrett, Zandra and Jorie celebrated the 4th with their friend, Sterling Wyatt. Garrett got to know Sterling by working with him and they became great friends.......
Danica hung out with friends, and to beat that St. George heat they set up a volleyball net in a river in Leeds, UT for some redneck fun...
The Utah Festival Opera Season started and I stayed busy ushering for The Pianists, Porgy & Bess, Showboat, Pioneers & Patriots, A Tribute to Cole Porter, and Ragtime. Logan has some a great music and arts things going on! All the shows were awesome!!
My brother, Craig, and his wife, Janet got home from serving a mission to Cape Town, Africa for the past three years. They look great! Dale and I went and heard them talk about some of their experiences at their church in Mendon. They'll be going back out on another mission in November to another area in Africa.
Richmond, UT will never be the same again with the new Cherry Peak Ski Resort opening up last Nov. and then hosting summer concerts. They brought in Kellie Pickler to come and preform. Andrew and Lindsay worked it, helping with the parking. They got some free tickets so we went and took Titan and Eloise and then Andrew and Lindsay joined us once the concert was in full swing. It was crazy, people were everywhere! The concert was fun, but it was pretty warm until the sun got behind the lodge. I wish Cherry Peak well in getting this up and going and hope they can work some of the kinks out so the next big concert goes a bit smoother. The traffic and parking needs some fine tuning.
I picked up Andrew, Lindsay, Titan and Eloise and drove to Twin Falls, ID to the Pizza Pie Café there, for a surprise birthday party for Matt's 40th birthday. We got the surprise though when we got delayed almost 45 min. due to a motorhome that started on fire and a car accident that were on the interstate. It was good to finally arrive and join in the celebrating once we got there. Happy Birthday Matt!!
We went and checked out Shoshone Falls while we were in the area as well and then stayed the night at the Mallory's in Oakley, ID.
Andrew and Lindsay hosted a family party with the Olsen clan and Dale and I for Titan's birthday at our house. We ate pizza and he opened his gifts. Titan blew out all five candles on the cake too!
Titan's the big 5!! Kindergarten here he comes!!!
The Amy Hadfield Petersen Tribe was in charge of hosting the annual Hadfield Reunion this year.
We met in my Uncle Max's (who is 94 yrs.) backyard.
It was a nice evening and the company was great! My 96 yr. old Aunt Vonda, and my 95 yr. old Aunt Elaine were there as well as other cousins I don't get to see much.
The next day the Hadfield's gathered at River Heights Park and we visited some more, ate some more, and played some more!
We also took pictures of the family groups that were there. All of my siblings were there and a lot of our extended families.

Later that evening all but my sister, Tanya, of my siblings and some of their kids came to our house and we ate pizza and tossed salad, visited some more, and played some more. We even got in a game of kick-ball out in the back field. It was a fun-filled, family-filled day.
The Mallory crew stayed the weekend with us and went to church with us. They even made dinner for us and put out the china, to help Dale and I celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. The kids were our waiters and waitresses. It was pretty cute.
Our Mallory crew headed back to Oakley, ID and Dale and I headed south to go to Park City to stay a couple of days. Dale had a health conference for work. He sat in meetings while I lounged around and took in the sights of the area. We did go golfing with a group (my first time golfing in forever) doing a 4-man scramble. It was quite a challenging first nine holes. Dale probably lost at least 5 balls, but we all had a good time. I even hit the ball in the hole a couple of times!
We celebrated Pioneer Day by going to the Hyde Park City's fireworks show with Lindsay, Titan and Eloise. They didn't disappoint.
Danica fulfilled her dream and got herself a Hedgehog. which she name Willow. I think she should of called it Spike (lol).
She became a blonde (from a box).....
.....was able to squeeze in some play-time with her friends, Jhani and Lexi, by going to the G-Easy and Logic Concert at the USANA Amphitheater in Salt Lake,,.....
........as well as attended the Nitro World Games at the Rice-Eccles Stadium in SLC and Raptors Baseball game with her friend, Jason.
However, her biggest accomplishment was that she finished 18 credits in one month and is still holding a job down and doing conditioning for soccer. Even better news was that she got a scholarship that paid for her fall tuition!! It's been a crazy month for her, but she did it!
To end the month, Dale and I went to the Lyric Theater's production of "Singing in the Rain". It was quite entertaining and a great way to end a great month.
We all had a busy, fun-filled July.....A family that plays together, stays together, right?
