May Marvels

To start off our Marvelous May Titan gave his first talk in Primary! That takes some courage in my eyes. Way to go Titan! Dale and I gave our first talks in the Logan Married Student 2nd Stake as well because of Dale's new calling to be on the High Council of that stake. This is the first time I've talked to a congregation and have only known two people in it. A BIG marvel for me!

I ushered for Enlighten Ballrooms program at the Eccles. They're a local dance group and I must say I was very impressed again by the talent we have in the valley. I'm so glad I get to see all of this talent, it's marvelous!
I got to watch Titan play in some more indoor soccer games. He's become a scoring machine! I marvel at how well he caught onto the concept of the game. He'd stay back to defend the goal and then he'd take the ball down and either pass off for a goal or put the ball in the net on his own. After the season was over, everyone on the team got a trophy. I think he had a great time, I know I did watching him.

My DIBELing days are done until the new school year starts. Two of our main ladies are retiring, so we got together for a farewell dinner at the Beehive Grill. Becky Wadsworth and Patti Willis, you will be missed.

 The wonderful DIBELS crew!

We helped Garrett, Zandra and Jorie move out of their apartment in Clearfield. They had some great help from some guys in their ward, so I helped by tending Jorie more than moving boxes. Andrew, Lindsay and their kids stopped by and helped out some as well. We got the place emptied and cleaned in record time. They rented a storage shed close by to store most of their things in and then they brought what they needed to our house. They'll be living with us until the loan on their house gets done. Fun for us, but poor Garrett has a bit of a commute each day.

We got a surprise visit from Danica, and because she came the Mallory crew showed up as well, so we had a little family reunion. Amie and Matt and the kids surprised Danica by picking her up in Ogden (she got that far with a friend). Amie and I took her back to Ogden later in the day.

Andrew and Lindsay and kids came by and all of the cousins got to play. It was pretty cute seeing Jorie and Mazin interact and get to know each other. It was also great just visiting and catching up with the kids and seeing them together.

We celebrated Zandra's birthday with the crew as well.

Kim celebrated her birthday this month as well.

Nate and Kim went to Bellingham, WA for a short trip to check out possibly taking over a practice. Nate's in his last year of residency and is feeling the pressure of finding a place to call his "real" work for the next while. Kim's working on getting a place to teach her classes and start up Moxie Fitness. We wish them both the best.

Jaxson and Kennlyn preformed in their end of year programs and Kennlyn had her gymnastics recital.
Schools out for the summer!!! Yeah!!

It was great having the clan around for a bit. It was a marvel that we pulled it off on such short notice.

Titan graduated from the All Academy Pre-school. It was a fun program. Kindergarten here he comes!

Andrew and Lindsay got their home study all done and are legally eligible to adopt now, so the wait is on. What a marvelous journey they are undertaking.

Dale and I got the trailer out and we camped out over the Memorial Day weekend. We hit the hills with a little help from the Razor and while on our ride we saw Bullwinkle the moose come out and say "Hi"! It was pretty funny, cuz he stopped and started to walk off, but I yelled out "Hey, Bullwinkle I want to take a picture!" He stopped and stared at us and I got the picture, then I said, "Thank you, you can go now" and he left!! I'd call that quite a marvel, wouldn't you? Dale and I got a good laugh.

We also went to Bear Lakes Parade of Homes and dreamed of the beach house or canyon home we'd love to have if we didn't have to pay for it or take care of it ;) There were some REALLY nice homes and I got some fun ideas for our yard. Now to get Dale on board to help my vision come true :)
Did you know: Bear Lake was formed some 28,000 years ago by earthquake activity? That it's unique aqua-blue color is the result of calcium carbonates suspended in the lake? That at an elevation of 5,923 feet, Bear Lake is 20 miles long and 6 miles wide, 208 ft. deep and covers 112 square miles? (Just a little trivia we learned in the Parade of Homes book that I thought was pretty marvelous)

Garrett and Zandra came over for the day and the guys went fishing. They didn't get a lot like they did last time, but they had fun. Garrett lost one, but Dale caught a nice one.

We stopped to catch a bite to eat at Zip's and found our old Conley water-ski on the fence there! (At least it looked like our old one). It was a fun weekend.

We got home and visited the graves of our loved ones. The cemeteries were full of color.
We have been blessed with a marvelous heritage and freedoms because of the sacrifices of selfless men and women who serve our country.
