Our little girl turned 22 this month!!
Yep, Danica's growing up!!
As we all know, October is the month of ghosts and goblins along with fall leaves, apple cider and Halloween pranks. So to kick it off I went with Andrew, Lindsay, Titan and Eloise to the American West Heritage Center and we got lost in the corn maze, as well as went of a wagon ride and played among the hay bales.
Then we went to Andrew and Lindsay's and painted pumpkins. I've never done a painted pumpkin so this was a first for me. We all got our creative juices flowing and did pretty good I think! (Mine was the green one, I'm going to put a Frankenstein half mask with it and cut eye holes in the pumpkin. I hope it works out)
Dale and I went to see Thriller at the Eccles Theater. It was a another great way to get into the spirit of the month. Great show!!

Dale sang in the AFC's Country Roads concert with the American Festival Chorus on the same day that we celebrated his mom's 84th Birthday. The choir had two shows that day so he showed up for a little bit between shows to get in his birthday wish to his mom.
It all ended up being a great day with family.
She's still going strong at 84!!
The Mallory's came to celebrate with us and we found out that Jaxson and Kennlyn's soccer teams both took 2nd place in their age divisions after the end of the season play-offs. Matt and Amie help coach both teams. Way to go guys!!
The Mallory's stayed with us through the weekend and a day because Matt was asked to present the program "Operation Kindness" that he started, to teachers in Dayton, Idaho. He may be onto something big with this. Time will tell.
Amie went with Matt, and I watched the kids. On the way to Dayton, Amie got pulled over for speeding. She got a $90 ticket! That took most of the play money that Matt will get from doing his presentation! Live and learn, sometimes the hard way.
Dale had another AFC concert in Kamas, UT. He had to leave earlier in the day with the choir on the bus so I went and picked up Garrett and he went with me to go see the show.
It was for the grand opening of a new event center, The Dejoria Center, there in Kamas and you needed to have been invited to it. Thanks to Val and Nancy Potter, (Dale's sister) Garrett and I got to go by using their tickets. It was a great show, at a nice venue, with the Cold Creek Band as guests with the show. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Dale came back with us in the car so we could all visit on the way home.
I went to the famous North Logan Pumpkin Walk with Lindsay and the kids. It's always so fun to see the creativity of those that carve the pumpkins and do the scenes. When we got to the witch the kids weren't even afraid of her. She was Andrew's 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Stewart!! It was fun to see her and visit. It was a beautiful fall day too.
Then I ushered at the Eccles Theater for the CVCA production of Dracula for a fun, full day.
Danica and some friends came from St. George for a weekend. They stopped in Park City to shop the outlets and to see the new Warren Miller Ski Show there. Then they stayed at our house.
They went to USU's Halloween Howl and to our Stake Conference to hear Dale and I sing with the choir.
We got word, via texts, that Zandra had a baby girl when we were at our Stake Conference.
Danica and her friends left early so they could stop in to see the new arrival on their way back to St. George.
After our conference we went to Andrew and Lindsay's ward to hear Titan do his part on their Primary Program. He did a fine job for his first public appearance behind a real mic!
After a quick dinner we drove to Layton to see Garrett, Zandra and their new little one. She is beautiful and Mom's doing just fine. Their baby girl has a ton of black hair!! A real treat for our family to have.
Little Jorie was born at 12:14pm and weighed 6 lbs. 11 oz. and was 20.5 inches. She's a doll!
Halloween was a bit quieter this year, but Dale did hook up the little yellow trailer and take Lindsay, Titan and Eloise out trick-or-treating for a bit. Tradition carries on still.
We did get to see all the kids in their costumes though. Pretty fun!
Nate and Kim met up with some friends, Brigham and Barbara White, in Vancouver.
Nate ran through The Enchantments mountain pass, a 22 mile run, did some running in the Tatoosh Wilderness Range, and did a Mt. Rainer hike. Life doesn't get boring for those two!

Kim's also learning how to get into some pretty awesome poses.
Andrew worked in Virginia most of the month. He's been in the driver's seat and doing the trimming in preparation to go solo.
He also got to go to a NASCAR race at the Martinsville Speedway. His car won, and he won $10. I guess he's a winner.
He keeps in touch with his cute family via Face Time at least twice a day and gets calls in when he can. They are making sure this long distance daddy knows he is loved.
Lindsay got creative and sewed the kids some mermaid costumes as well as a dress for Eloise.
Titan & Eloise got a little kitty and named her Punkin. They sure do love their new little pet! I think she's pretty cute too.
Titan started pre-school at Sports Academy. On Mondays they focus on Movement, Wednesdays is swimming and Fridays it's gymnastics. Lindsay started working as a teachers aide in the pre-school twice a week as well.
Garrett and Zandra got the nursery all set up before Jorie arrived and Zandra was working full shifts with her job up until Jorie came.
Danica is surviving school, work and soccer and seems to be making the most of her new home. She went with friends to the Red Bull Rampage, (a biking event) and went to Zions National Park and hiked the Angel's Landing hike with friends. I have to agree with her, she does live in a pretty area, where there is a lot to do. Let's just hope she can balance her school, work, soccer, and play.
I'd say that about makes October Outright a good one for us.
