We took the boat out on Newton Dam two days in a row and had the water pretty much all to ourselves!!! All that wanted, got a ride. We got Jaxson up on skis and Kennlyn tried knee-boarding.
We had a family B-B-Q with some of the Hansen clan and ate and visited. Family time is always fun time.
Dale and I went and served lunch to families in the area for the Loaves and Fishes Dinner that is served at the First Presbyterian Church twice a month. It's a non-denominational event that's hosted by various church groups and businesses, as well as the churches donate the food. It was the Hyde Park Stakes turn to help out and Dale and I were some of the lucky ones that got to help from our ward. We served meals to 175 people and visited with those there. We live in a great area, among some great people.
Dale took his folks' 5th-wheel trailer to Star Valley Ranch for them so they could spend the month on vacation. We're glad that they're able to get out and do.
He also went and spent a week with five boys ages 11-13 up Cub River Canyon at Aspen Ridge. He played right along with them and I think had as much fun as the boys! What a kid at heart.
While Dale was gone with the scouts I ushered for the Festival of the Opera at the Eccles. The shows were; Student Prince, Les Miserables, Oklahoma, and Vanessa.
I also represented our family at the Hadfield Family Reunion and got in some good visits with cousins, aunts and unclesI don't get to see as much any more.
We also celebrated our 34th year of marriage and bought a new trailer! It has a cargo area that will hold two 4-wheeler's. Pretty nice.
We took it over to Bear Lake over the the 24th holiday weekend and went into Bloomington Lakeand walked around it and were going to try out our new kayak in Bear Lake, but Dale wasn't feeling the best. He had a bad cold and cough so we didn't get in or near the water. Next time though!
We also met up with our friends, Floyd and Alison Griffiths, and went to Pickleville Playhouses performance of Beauty and the Beast and dinner. We stayed at Blue Water Beach Resort, where we bought a membership. I think we could get used to the lazy days of summer more, staying at Bear Lake.
Kim has had some photo shoots in Montana and back in California to keep her busy.
The Mallory's celebrated Matt's birthday at Seven Peaks with his family. Dale was gone to Scout Camp and I was ushering so Danica and her boyfriend went to represent from our family. They all had a great time.
Speaking of great times....Jaxson's baseball team won the championship game and Matt and Amie got a new car. (Replacing the one that got wrecked last month). Fun times for the Mallorys!
Andrew logged 1000 flight hours this month. Way to go Andrew! Now he's going to start applying for other jobs that are a bit closer to us. (I'm keeping my fingers crossed) He took Titan up for a helicopter ride for his birthday. How many 3 year olds get to do that?
Garrett and Zandra are getting around quite a bit. For Garrett's job at Catalyst RTC, he went biking at Moab. Sounds like a tough job huh? He also hooked up with some of friends and they did some river runs down the Snake River in Jackson Hole.
Zandra did her first International flight to Milan, Italy and then she had some layovers in Vancouver, Canada and Seattle, WA and was able to hook up with family and friends.
Danica quit her job at The Bluebird as a server and started full-time on the graveyard shift at Kathy Kaye Foods. She worked their last summer and they were glad to have her back. She'll be working more regular hours and getting a better paycheck. She needs the money for college.
She fit in a trip to Moab with friends while in-between jobs.
We've been enjoying the fruits (vegetables) of our labor from the garden and look forward to more. The carrots didn't come up, but that was all, so we won't complain too loud. Tag sure loves romping in the garden!
Jargon means the technical terminology or characteristic idiom of a special activity or group. I'd say our family is a a pretty special group that has had some pretty special activities going on throughout the month. Love em' all!
