I finished up the DIBELS testing, have been doing some ushering and got together with my "Golden Girls" for dinner and to visit. We planned our next trip to go to St. George and see some of the shows at the Touchan Theater. Sounds pretty fun, eh?
Dale took his scouts and they helped on a service project at Camp Aspen Ridge up Cub River Canyon. They camped over one night and then helped build a perimeter fence for the camp.
Danica flew back to Iowa to be part of a Ring Ceremony that the school hosted to honor the IWCC Men's and Women's soccer teams. They both took the National Title in soccer the last November.
She had a great time reuniting with her team-mates by getting in a game and visiting friends.
She also started being a server or waitress as well as a hostess at The Bluebird as well as started on the graveyard shift at Kathy Kaye Foods. She's one busy girl!
Nate hiked Mt. Whitney--the highest peak (14,505 ft.) in the lower 48 and located in the High Sierra Mountains. He went with two other buddies and they ran into some set backs with wind and lost a tent and it got real cold, but they made it. Nate did get frost-bite on this toes though. He can check that one off of his bucket list.
Nate also graduated from Samuel Merritt University in Podiatric Medicine. His 4 years of schooling paid off and he's on his way to reaping the rewards.
Dale and I flew to Oakland for his graduation and to get in a little visit with Nate and Kim. We celebrated Kim's 26th birthday and also helped them pack and move some things to help them get out of their apartment. While there I cashed in on my Mother's Day gift from the kids and Kim and I got a Thai massage while the guys went and delivered some furniture that Nate and Kim had sold.
Dale and I walked around Merritt Lake and took in a little concert on the lawn while we were there as well. We left for home and the next day Nate and Kim left for Thailand, where they'll hook up with some friends for a bit and then tour on their own. What a marvelous experience for them this past month has been.
Andrew participated in an air show with his work. He's well on his way to getting enough hours to apply for more jobs.
We Face Timed with them and Eloise is walking all over! The kids are growing up too fast!
Garrett is done with school until fall and so he had a marvelous experience when he flew to Georgia to spend the weekend with Zandra. She's thick into her training and doing great, but living apart has a toll. They were glad to see each other and have the time to visit and just be together. Garrett was able to fly into Virginia while he was in the area, and spend a couple of nights with Andrew, Lindsay and the kids! They took him into Washington DC where they saw a Memorial Day parade and showed him some of the monuments. They all had a marvelous experience!
Amie and Matt wanted to celebrate their 10th anniversary in a little bigger fashion so Dale and I met them in Tremonton and brought them home with us for a couple of days.while Amie and Matt went to Salt Lake for some time alone.

We took the kids to have ice cream at The Bluebird, we took them to The Jump Zone and fishing at Johnson Reservoir, where we caught little blue gill fish left and right! It was quite entertaining for sure. We wore the kids right out, so going to bed was not a problem!
It was a pretty marvelous month.
