A New Year ----- New Beginnings ----- Let's see what it brings -----
Danica said her good-byes and went back home with Dale from Amie's after all the celebrating settled down.
She got in some more skiing before she headed back south to warmer temps. and before starting into her Senior year at Dixie State.
She was able to try out the new ski area that opened above Richmond, Cherry Peak Ski Resort with a friend. It was fun, but until they get their other lift up and going, nothing compares to good old Beaver Mtn. locally. What wasn't fun was the ticket she got coming home from skiing!! It took a pretty good punch in her pocketbook. Live and learn.
Dale went to the Utah School Boards Associations (USBA) annual conference that's held at Little America in Salt Lake, and then on his way back, took a little NW detour and came and got me at Amie's. It was a good two weeks with the kids playing Grandma and helping out but it is good to be home.
Amie celebrated her 30th birthday without us. They partied though.
Jaxson and Kennlyn are playing basketball with a Rec. league and both are doing great.
Kennlyn got 10 pts. in her first game!! Looks like she's been getting tips from her big brother.
We were hoping to be able to watch them play while we were there, but it didn't work out :(
Matt's still coaching the Girl's Oakley HS basketball team and they're doing quite well also . Basketball just goes well with the Mallory's I guess ;)

Mazin's growing like a weed and gets plenty of love when the kids are around. With Langston home to help tend, Amie's got a good helper who knows how to put a smile on his little brother's face.
Danica came back home for a quick trip to attend a good friends wedding. She brought her friend, Paige Flores, (played soccer at IWCC with Danica) here with her. They had a good time reuniting and catching up with the soccer gals. We also got our first real good snow storm the weekend she headed back! Luckily she missed the bad part of the storm.
I guess she missed the snow after she got back to St. George, so went and found some when she went into Zions Canyon for a drive. She's a four seasons girl still I guess.
Danica is also loving her classes this semester and is learning some pretty cool ways to do art, like writing a short story and then making a picture that depicts the story out of the words in the story. Pretty cool, huh? She's learning!
Dale sang with the American Festival Chorus in Logan's Sesquicentennial Concert in the Logan Tabernacle. The guest speaker was our own home grown, newly called Apostle to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint, Elder Gary Stevenson.
Andrew and Lindsay have been taking advantage of Andrew's down time from work. They got the kids rooms all finished in the basement and moved into their new rooms.
I'd say they know how to do it up right. The kids love their new rooms!
Andrew decided to join the ski patrol at Cherry Peak Ski Resort, so with that he gets a few benefits. He's taken Lindsay and the kids skiing there, and to Beaver as well.
He's also gotten Dale, Garrett and Zandra to join him on the slopes. I'd say Andrew is definitely making the most of his down time.
They went night skiing.
Garrett's been busy with work by closing 2-3 more loans, so the little "outs" have been good for them.
They decided to bless Jorie the week before Andrew headed back out to West Virginia, so Andrew could be a part of it. Zandra made Jorie's blessing dress and we took Dale's folks with us. Four generations were there for the blessing. Pretty special day for the Hansen clan.
Zandra started working again. Her maternity leave is over. It's probably a good thing that she works from home. She's pretty attached to her little cutie.
Our Tacoma kids haven't gotten much snow, but have had a lot of rain. Kim got a wedding shoot in Miami and got to spend some time on the beach and in the sunshine. One of the perks of being a good photographer.
She also got a new look by cutting her long hair, pretty short. I personally think it's way cute and I know Nate probably thinks so too ;) She can pull off the look.

I've done some DIBELING, ushering, and served in the temple clothing area and got to watch a cute 3 month old in the Youth Center. I also took my Aunt Vonda out to lunch for her 96th birthday and went to lunch with some of my high school friends.
January did us Justice. 2016 has treated us pretty good so far, it's been a good month.
